Lapidary Classes

Lapidary Classes, taught by Doug Duffy, take place at the North Mountain Visitor Center and are held for 4 consecutive Wednesdays from 9:00 am till Noon. Price is $60 for 12 hours of Instruction. Classes are held in Doug's classroom at the Visitor Center. There are four grinding/sanding units and at least one brand new trim saw for your use. Once completed, you will be certified by Doug on all of the lapidary equipment in the classroom and will be eligible to participate in Open Studio on Thursdays. This class fills fast since there is only room for four students at a time, so call Doug as soon as you know you want to take his class to get on the wait list.

Regular Club Meetings

Our meetings are scheduled to take place at 7:00PM on the third Tuesday of each month (excluding July), and are held at the North Mountain Visitor Center, 12950 N 7th Street, Phoenix AZ. Each month, we feature educational presentations by guest speakers or skill demonstration by local artisans, some of which are our own members, and may include some hands-on activities. There are door prizes and refreshments. Visitors are welcome! Attend 3 meetings or MLS functions to be eligible to join the club.
